Kingskerswell Primary School Parent Teacher Association

The PTA are a friendly group consisting of Chairperson (Wendy Arscott), Treasurer (Lisa Way), Secretary (Sarah Murray) and other committee members who meet regularly to organise fundraising events.

Our main events are our School Disco’s, Summer Fete and Christmas Bazaar.  We have also introduced some fun events like our Annual Quiz night and our Summer BBQ and Games night.  These have proved very popular and not only do we have fun but also manage to raise valuable funds for our School.

We are a very successful PTA and because of this we are now a registered Charity.  The money we have raised has purchased, amongst other things, playground equipment, a PA system, musical instruments and helped fund the Computer Suite.

We are a small team and always welcome help and support, new ideas and suggestions.  We appreciate that coming to meetings might not suit everyone but help can come in other ways.  Maybe by manning a stall at the Summer Fete or Christmas Bazaar, having contacts that might be able to offer donations for our raffles, behind the scene help or assisting with the School Disco’s. Our main meetings are held in the School staff room usually the first Tuesday back after each term/half term and start at 7pm.  However we do operate an ‘open house policy’ which means parents can ‘drop in’ later if they are not able to make it at 7pm.

As a PTA we feel pleased that we have been able to help the School which in turns benefits our Children.
